A horrific truck accident left three men with major injuries, to that remain hospitalized

The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a solo crash involving a freight-liner moving truck that collided with a passenger vehicle causing some of the passengers severe injuries.

The three men were hospitalized with broken bones. One man was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and is in critical condition.

When the patient died, Herman said, the nursing home was owned by Horizon West Healthcare, which in 2010 was hit with $29.1 million in elder abuse damages in connection with the death of a patient at another of its facilities.
